Many hikers who want to hike around La Gomera on the long-distance hiking route presented here flirt with the idea of a few days" relaxing holiday after the rather strenuous long-distance hike. I have often been asked in the past whether there is a left-luggage office on La Gomera where you can leave your suitcase for the second part of your holiday (unfortunately not). At times, some hotels in San Sebastián de la Gomera had accepted luggage storage, either reluctantly or after some persuasion. However, this was never really satisfactory or reliable. In the meantime, however, one accommodation has emerged as particularly reliable in this respect and can therefore hope for further guests who will stay there twice during the long-distance hike: at the beginning on the day of arrival and at the end of the long-distance hike (after stage 5 and stage 6). Katrina reported on her positive experiences in April 2026 and was kind enough to clarify that other hikers with a desire for luggage storage / temporary luggage storage are explicitly welcome. The ideal sequence for a long-distance hike with luggage storage on La Gomera would be as follows:

• Plan an overnight stay on the day of arrival in San Sebastián de la Gomera or alternatively at least extra time to drop off your luggage there before setting off on the hike (Link: Hotel Apartamentos Villa Gomera).
• Luggage storage costs: from 1 euro per day (as of 2026)
• Long-distance hike stage 1 to stage 5
• After stage 5: Overnight stay in San Sebastián de la Gomera at the Hotel Apartamentos Villa Gomera (ideally two nights)
• Complete the long-distance hike with stage 6 and return to the hotel.
• Then enjoy a relaxing holiday with extra luggage
